Anwar is a remarkable man.  I eagerly anticipate his complete recovery and his return to my television set.  He definitely has something special that comes across the tube as sincerity and confidence. Go Anwar, go!

Hi,

You look well, Anwar. You have brought so much to so many people and I hope you realize that. It will be great to see you back soon, but the number one thing is to take care of yourself.

Hi Anwar,

As a fellow young lymphoma patient (non-Hodgkins) with a couple of weeks left in radiation treatments (to my neck) I would like to thank you. In reading your blog, I identified closely with the similarity of some of our experiences.

I'm receiving treatment at the Stronach Regional Cancer Centre in Newmarket, newly opened with its development supported by Princess Margaret, and I'd like to share with you and your readers how tremendous the facility and its people are. Their dedication and compassion are truly appreciated.

You have found a voice with lymphoma awareness and I look forward to future blogs and your thoughts on survivorship.

Dear Anwar,
I'm so sorry to find out this bad news yesterday. I notice that you have not been on TV for sometime but not know that you have been sick.
I hope you feel better and get back on TV soon. I miss your gentle sense of humor and sincerity, brother.

And honestly, you look great with or without hair Smile

Hi Anwar. I had heard about your "journey" from my mum shortly after my diagnosis for Hodgkin's in March. I have to say that after doing a lot of googling and blog reading around that time and scaring myself silly I took a hiatus on reading anything to do with it until recently (I finished chemo Aug 31st). I have just started going through your blog and am identifying with so many of your experiences and so many of the same things have been going through my head. Thank-you for sharing. I too have been blogging but primarily to keep in touch with friends and family. I can't imagine being in the public eye like you have. Optimism is key.....I too like to think of myself as an optimist Smile

Hi Anwar,

Just thinking about how you are and hope the journey is going to end soon. Gee, time speds fast so it seems these days and it grows dark before 8 p.m. We are into Fall and it reminds me of this saying, For every Man there is a Season. It's a new Season for you, so think big.

Keep your spirit up for it does project out and beyond all who read your blog.

Dear Anwar,

Our prayers are always with you for your speedy recovery. Along with healthy food, exercise, etc. always keep a gang of good friends and family around. There aren't any better medicine than support of family and friends. Social interaction does wonders. There are no scientific explanation for it, but it is a phenomenon.

See you on CTV soon.

Very good interview; I had wondered how you discovered your illness.  We've been without you for at least part of 3 seasons now (spring, summer, fall) so hope it won't be long now until you get the all-clear and can return to work.  You are missed.
